Steve Soliz is an award-winning broadcast journalist with two decades of experience in radio and television, working as a 3:30 p.m. news anchor at KOMO TV and ARC Seattle at 10 p.m. Before working at KOMO TV, he worked as a Weekend anchor and reporter at KING 5 News, the Tegna-owned NBC affiliate in Seattle, Washington.

His broadcasting career began on the radio in 2005. Over the years, he worked at heritage news/talk radio stations in Phoenix, San Antonio, and Dallas. Steve’s stories have aired on ABC News Radio, CBS News Radio, CNN Radio, and Fox News Radio. He dived into television by accepting a job on the behind-the-scenes team at KPHO-TV before moving in front of the camera at KRGV-TV.

Over the years, Steve has worked in both radio and television, and he has been lucky enough to be a part of some award-winning newsrooms. He has been able to win some awards of his own, including a Lone Star EMMY for my work along the U.S./Mexico border, and a Rocky Mountain EMMY for a series of stories about New Mexico called “Send Steve Where.”

Steve is dedicated to fostering trust in journalism, mentoring future journalists, and championing diversity in media through his leadership with the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. He is also the ex-president of NAHJ’s New Mexico chapter and served on the board of directors for Special Olympics New Mexico. Al Corral represents Steve from Napoli Management Group positively.
