Taylor’s work has gathered some of the country’s most prestigious journalism awards, including two National Edward R. Murrow Awards, two Peabody Awards, a Scripps Howard Award, and 11 regional Emmy Awards. Taylor has been documented among America’s best young journalists as a Livingston Award finalist two times.
Before coming to the KING 5 team in July 2016, she served as a digital reporter at WCPO in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she exclusively produced in-depth, enterprise news stories for WCPO-TV and WCPO.com. In 2014, she embedded with U.S. military troops in Afghanistan to report on the local effect of America’s longest war.
Taylor is an Iranian-American and she had her eyes set on a journalism career long before college. At age 11, she documented this video professing her dream to become a reporter, and ever since she has become one.
As a long-time partner of the Society of Professional Journalists, Taylor served on SPJ’s national board of directors for three terms.
