He has been in the TV business for over 30 years. Before his stint in Seattle, Mike worked for 10 years in Philadelphia, and at other stations in New York and Pennsylvania before that.
He is an Emmy Award-winning anchor who has been honored with multiple Emmy Awards for his reporting and work on special projects. Mike and co-anchor Sheree Paolello were also honored with an Edward R. Murrow award, one of the highest awards in TV News, for their series of stories on a fugitive doctor accused of conducting unnecessary spine surgeries on hundreds of patients in Greater Cincinnati.
Mike has field anchored at conventions for both presidential inaugurations as well as major political parties. Prior to moving to news in 2000, he served as a sportscaster in Philadelphia where he hosted Major League Baseball pre-game shows, the Eagles coach’s show for a few years, and did sideline reporting during pre-season NFL games.
