Upon graduating, she first commenced her TV profession at WHIZ in Zanesville, Ohio. From there she moved KWQC-TV6 to forecast in Davenport, Iowa, for a couple of years; then it was in Colorado Springs, Colorado on KRDO.
Most recently, she served as a freelance meteorologist at Spectrum News 1 in Columbus, Ohio. While moving around the country, she has had the chance to forecast all types of weather: historic flooding, hail events, tornado outbreaks, blizzards, fire weather, and ice storms.
When she is not at work, you might catch her enjoying the Cincinnati food scene! Katie loves all things goetta, chili, and a good scoop of black raspberry chips. She also loves horseback riding, fishing, hiking, painting, and spending time with family. She and her husband have two daughters and a dog named Zane.
