Parker works at WFSB 3 TV in Connecticut, as a host of CT’23 Sundays at 8:30 a.m. He commenced working at Channel 3 in 2004, first as an Investigative Reporter, later spending 10 years as the anchor of Eyewitness News This Morning, and in February 2021, he became the host of the station’s Sunday public affairs program.
In addition to his broadcasting profession, Eric has also been practicing law at Romano Parker & Associates in Rocky Hill. In that time he has successfully represented customers in a diverse variety of cases including real estate, estate matters, commercial litigation, personal injury and wrongful death claims, insurance appeals and property tax, and transactional matters. Eric also has used his skills from his law practice to serve as Channel 3’s Legal Analyst in addition to his other duties.
Prior to being admitted to the Bar, he worked as a journalist in Connecticut, Delaware, and Washington, DC. Covering news has sent Eric around the world. He also spent seven days in Baghdad embedded with troops from Dover Air Force Base, flew in the backseat of an F-16 with the US Air Force Thunderbirds (he got his 9-G pin and didn’t puke!), and searched for icebergs off the coast of Newfoundland with the International Ice Patrol.
Eric has also helped onlookers to experience stories firsthand by crawling through burning buildings with firefighters, getting dunked upside down underwater in a plane crash simulator to see if he could escape (he did, we’re happy to report), and even getting shocked by a police Taser so he could feel the jolt (he doesn’t recommend it).
He also is interested in covering issues affecting members and veterans of the military and he is a proud member of the Board of Directors at Homes for the Brave in Bridgeport. When he’s not on television or practicing law, you can catch Eric cheering on his beloved New York Mets.
