Upon graduating from Kean University in 1992, his television profession commenced when he joined WCBS-TV in New York as a weather producer. In the decade that followed, he witnessed two major weather events… the “Blizzard of 1996” and the “Super Storm of 1993,” where widespread heavy snows extended from Alabama to New York state, effectively paralyzing the eastern third of the country. Scott was also a member of the weather team that earned an Emmy for outstanding coverage of an anticipated Breaking News Story in February 1994.
In the fall of 1998, Scott began, in addition to working at WCBS, on-air for a local cable TV station in New Jersey named News12. During his term there he was employed to be the weekend weather anchor with additional responsibilities during the week.
In the new millennium, Scott had the fortunate chance to freelance for WCBS, working the morning/noon shows. By working near such professionals, he was able to gain great knowledge from them which enabled him to hone his craft and advance in the field of meteorology. In the summer of 2005, Scott’s journeys took him south. Living in South Carolina, North Carolina, and his latest city Savannah, Georgia, Scott foretold countless severe weather events, including Hurricane Matthew, where he was a member of a weather team that won Best Coverage of a Severe Weather Event.
Outside of work, he enjoys keeping fit through golf, tennis, and softball. Scott also enjoys playing the guitar, and bass, and writing music as well as traveling.
