Prior to moving to NYC, Cory served as the weekend evening anchor for the ABC O&O in Fresno, California. During his time there, he earned an award for reporting on a story that helped law enforcement track down suspects charged with beating and kidnapping a teenage girl. Cory started his profession in Santa Barbara, California as a reporter for KEYT-TV/KCOY-TV/KKFX-TV. His first story was the Isla Vista mass shooting that butchered six individuals and injured over a dozen others around the University of California, Santa Barbara campus.
Cory graduated from the University of Georgia where he majored in Digital and Broadcast Journalism and minored in Communication Studies. While in school, he interned at CNN and WSB-TV in Atlanta. When not working, Cory enjoys cooking (mainly eating!), rollerblading, and playing with his Goldendoodle named Kensington.
