He joined the WGN Weather Center team as a meteorologist in 2013 before being promoted as chief meteorologist on February 29, 2024.
Before joining WGN-TV, Demetrius worked as a weather reporter and meteorologist for Channel 4 Action News This Morning at WTAE in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Before WTAE, Ivory served as a meteorologist for WYTV in Youngstown, Ohio, and the chief meteorologist for Lima, Ohio’s WOHL.
Apart from working as a journalist, Ivory has been involved in many helping organizations around western Pennsylvania, and Pittsburgh Magazine named him the Best Weatherman consecutively since 2008.
