She joined WHIO-TV’s Storm Center 7 in August 2023 after interning with WHIO nearly a decade ago. Britley likes the state of Florida for its beaches and atmosphere. She travels there continually to vacation and smell the warm salt air. She also loves to research hurricanes and did her case analysis on Hurricane Sandy and its extratropical transition into a mid-latitude cyclone. So, when WPBF in West Palm Beach, FL called to present her with a job, she didn’t refuse. Britley also reported on Hurricane Dorian and Hurricane Michael within her tenure at WPBF and won her first Emmy for the coverage.

Britley’s love for weather commenced when she was just seven years old. A tornado touched down in northern Darke Co. within her phobia and her very own front yard for weather started and sprouted her career in meteorology. She was born in Richmond, IN, and grew up in the Miami Valley’s very own Greenville, Ohio.

Upon graduating from college, she began her professional television in meteorology at KQDS in Duluth, MN. Then she traveled to Cedar Rapids, Iowa working for three years for the dominant station KCRG.

Soon after, The Weather Channel employed Britley to work with Local Now where she stayed for nearly 3 years. Most recently, she has worked for CNN reporting on domestic and international weather including the record-breaking Super Typhoon Mawar near Guam and coronation weather coverage out of the United Kingdom.

Besides being a meteorologist, Britley has an interest in supporting those in need and has patented and developed a new weather alert system for the United States, and the deaf and hard of hearing. She has also developed a non-profit, Raining Angels to support the people who have a disability and are disabled pre- and post-disaster. Britley is extremely blessed to be able to come home and forecast for her family and friends. All while being able to work for the station that initially took her in and helped her grow.
