Zack’s interest in weather began at a young age. Growing up on the West Bank, he can’t recall a time in his life he didn’t love everything about the weather.
From being in grade school during the May 95′ flood to spending his high school years going via hurricanes Ivan and Katrina, Zack was destined to be a meteorologist. After becoming a graduate of Archbishop Shaw High School, he went ahead to obtain a degree in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. A week after graduation Zack was off to his first employment in television, KPLC-TV in Lake Charles. After a few years in Lake Charles, he found his way back to New Orleans just in time to land right at FOX 8.
Zack also loves to share his weather and science knowledge in their Tracking the Science segments which air most weeks Wednesday thru Friday during the 8 and 9 o’clock hours of FOX 8 Morning Edition. When he is not looking at the latest weather models, he enjoys spending time with his wife and our dog Buster. He loves everything about being home including the fishing the crawfish, and the festivals. Of course, Zack is also an avid Saints and Pelican lover.
