Hannah discovered her passion for meteorology when she was very young – sitting on camp chairs watching thunderstorms with her father and watching the local weather daily. After seeing coverage of Hurricane Katrina when she was just five years old, Hannah chose her dream career to be a broadcast meteorologist.
After graduating high school, she enrolled at the University of Oklahoma where she graduated earning a Bachelor of Science in meteorology and minors in broadcast meteorology and mathematics. She was busy in the award-winning on-campus student newscast OU Nightly as a Senior Weather Producer and on-air weather anchor and was an intern for KKTV in her hometown.
Hannah served as a weekend meteorologist at KSWO in Lawton, Oklahoma during her junior year of college where she foretold for Texoma and provided live coverage of extreme weather from ice storms to tornadoes. After her junior year, she interned for CNN Weather + Climate over the summer and afterward served as a freelance weather producer for CNN throughout her senior year. Her experience at the national level permitted her to forecast a range of weather phenomena including blizzards, wildfires, severe weather, and the active 2021 hurricane season.
Transferring from Oklahoma to Louisiana after graduation, Hannah arrived at the Fox 8 weather team in May. She is happy to get to know the society and the local climate of New Orleans. In her free time, Hannah loves to sing, go outdoors, watch Sooner football, and spend time with her loved ones. She has been a bandwagon Saints lover since she was 10 years old and can’t wait to experience all the festivals the city has to offer.
