While there, Spencer conducted a whirlwind life since returning to his home state. In just his first occasional years as a nightly news anchor with Local4, he’s accomplished everything from playing with the Harlem Globetrotters to traveling to Alaska with witnesses for a station-sponsored trip.
Before joining Local4 News, Spencer operated as Sports Director for WOAY-TV in Oak Hill, WV where he held the fortune of covering three other Division I schools (West Virginia, Marshall & Virginia Tech). He also had the occasional treat of covering the Greenbrier Classic, the annual PGA Tournament, as well as anchoring coverage from New Orleans Saints training camp, which resettled to West Virginia in 2014.
Spencer also anchored live range from Los Angeles when Grand Island native Hannah Huston took the stage – making it to the season finale of NBC’s The Voice.
