Her passion is Tropical Meteorology, having anchored close to a dozen Gulf Coast landfalls, with direct impacts from Major Hurricanes Ivan (Strong Cat 3, Landfall Gulf Shores AL), Katrina (Strong Cat 3 Landfall LA/MS border), and Dennis (Cat 3 Landfall Pensacola/Navarre Beach, FL). Before landfall, Katrina, and Ivan were Cat 5 storms with Dennis at its strongest just under a Cat 5. Kelly also experienced first-hand the aftermath and destruction of Katrina and Ivan, which are considered some of the most destructive hurricanes of all time.
Kelly is a native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast and is delighted to be working in a market close to home. On one day off, she enjoys expending time with her husband and children. Her interests include reading the works of Southern authors, singing, playing tennis, and boating.
