Janice started as an Intern while in college at UAB attaining her degree in Broadcast Journalism. She also got her internship at the local NBC affiliate. It was there Janice commenced her on-air profession when Channel 13 employed her as a videotape editor and general assignment reporter. She was then afterward promoted to East Alabama Bureau Chief – later midday anchor and eventually weekend anchor.
But in August of 1994, Channel 6 was lucky to entice Janice away from “next door” and bring her back to her original passion– WBRC. At the time, Not informed the station was being bought by FOX New Corp. – Janice had no plan she was about to begin a brand-new morning show – finally called “Good Day Alabama.”Nowadays, Janice and the Good Day crew anchor six hours of television in the morning. She produces and co-anchors segments on the show.
Janice carries on to have strong ties to the community. Her dedication to work and family has endeared Janice to thousands of loyal onlookers as well as co-workers. WBRC is truly glad to call her one of their own, and Janice feels proud to be in viewers’ homes every day.
