Palmer serves as a weeknight Meteorologist for KIRO 7 News in Seattle, WA. He arrived at KIRO 7 in 2011 following stints as a meteorologist and news anchor in Texas and Florida. Morgan was “bitten” by the forecasting bug at an early age and began tracking storms in Tornado Alley as soon as he got his teenage driver’s license.
He went to the University of Texas at Austin and finished advanced meteorology studies at Mississippi State University prior to embarking on his broadcasting career. Morgan also has the prestigious Seals of Approval from the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and the National Weather Association (NWA) and currently serves as Broadcast Meteorology Committee chair for the NWA.
Outside of work, Morgan loves traveling, photography, golf, and researching his family history. He has family who has called Western Washington home for countless years and is delighted to have been able to forecast weather for this beautiful region for over a decade now. He lives on the Eastside.
