She accepted a job at PIX News from  WWOR-TV/My 9 and WNYW/Fox 5. While working for New York City’s only duopoly, she operated as a fill-in anchor and general assignment reporter. While there, Jennifer visited New Orleans for the unveiling of the USS New York, a naval ship put together with steel from the World Trade Center. In an exclusive report, she also exposed security flaws at some of New York City’s most acknowledged tourist attractions, including the Empire State Building.

Jennifer also operated as the lead reporter on the NYPD police shooting of an unarmed guy killed by cops on what would have been his wedding day.
Prior to Fox & My 9, she operated as a Westchester correspondent and general assignment reporter for WCBS-TV also in New York. As part of the award-winning team, Jennifer was privileged with two Emmy awards for the mass transit strike. Previously, she anchored the 10 pm newscasts at News 12 Westchester.

While there, she acquired two Emmy Awards, one for On-Camera achievement. The 2nd for a multi-part, hard-hitting investigation titled, “Predator Next Door.” Earlier, Jordan reported at WFIE-TV in Evansville, Indiana as the weekend newscast. Prior to that, she served as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor for WBKO-TV in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Jennifer’s profession started as a field producer at WSOC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is also part of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the National Association of Black Journalists. In 2003, Jennifer was inducted into Peekskill High School’s Alumni Hall of Fame. She has also received countless community awards for her dedication to reporting stories in her neighborhood and volunteering for several local charities.
