In 2016, Heidi was honored with six awards from the CT Society of Professional Journalists for her reporting on a range of problems including an investigation into the state, a series profiling fallen law enforcement officers, and federal funding of Connecticut’s highway service patrol fleet.

A firm believer that journalism can and should make the planet a better place, Heidi also uses her platform to advance many charitable causes and uncover compelling human interest stories. She was inducted into the Gertrude O. Lewis Humanitarian Society in 2016, the highest honor bestowed by the Connecticut Humane Society, and was named one of Connecticut Magazine’s “40 Under 40”.
