As a child, he would frequently take the family video camera, turn it on, record, and give a play-by-play commentary of everything occurring in front of him. Fast ahead to now, and he is proudly able to earn a living doing the same thing in the sports industry for over a decade. Chris arrived at News13 in May of 2017 from Fort Myers, FL where he spent three years as their weekend sports anchor and reporter on WZVN ABC-7.
In Southwest Florida, he got to shield Spring Training Baseball with the Rays, Red Sox, and Twins, Florida Gulf Coast University, aka “Dunk City” and professional golf tournaments. Prior to his move to the sunshine state, he spent six years in Lima, OH at WTLW-44 & WOSN-TV serving as a sports reporter/ anchor/commentator for their 24-7 sports network. While there, Chris covered almost 60 high schools, aided in their seasonal 90-minute high school football show, and produced a wide scope of shows and specials.
He was born and raised simply outside of Pittsburgh, PA so naturally, he is a Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins lover. Coming from one beach town to another has been exciting and he’s been pleased to get to know all the individuals that make up the Pee Dee and Grand Strand areas over the last 4 1/2 years.
