Parveen works as the weekday morning meteorologist for NBC 7 News Midday and  NBC 7 News Today.  In her career, she’s reported and forecasted everything from hurricanes to tornadoes to blizzards. Some of the most unforgettable weather incidents Sheena reported were the blizzard of 2016 that demanded round-the-clock reportage for multiple days, Hurricane Sandy made landfall at the Jersey Shore, and when she was sent to cover the 2013 EF5 tornado that devastated an elementary school in Moore, Oklahoma.

Parveen started her on-air meteorology profession at WCTV in Tallahassee right out of college, then moved on to be the meteorologist for Fox13 in Tampa. Following having spent her entire life in the sunshine state of Florida, she wanted a change. In 2012 Sheena relocated north to NBC10 in Philadelphia as their weekday evening meteorologist where she stayed for five years. Being an avid lover of water hobbies that weren’t easy to come by in Philadelphia Sheena instructed a paddleboard from San Diego and had it shipped throughout the country which she considers the “best decision ever.” After those five years, she decided to relocate to NBC4 in Washington, DC where she quickly learned how to adjust to a morning schedule prior to coming to San Diego.

Sheena is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist, having obtained her CBM seal from the American Meteorological Society. Shelter animals are near and dear to her heart, as are all animals, two of her dogs are rescues, one from Africa and the other a rescue from Georgia.
