Before that, Sean filed reports for WGN News Nine and WGN News at Five during the week. He joined WGN-TV in June 2008 and CLTV in March 2007.
Sean came back home to Chicagoland after working at WWBT-TV, the NBC affiliate in Richmond, Virginia as a weekend anchor for more than two years. He was raised watching Chicago news but has worked and lived throughout the Midwest, reporting in Fargo, Madison Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Rockford, Illinois.
In Rockford, Sean suited on the board of AIDS Care Network and was named Best Newswriter by the Illinois Associated Press. In 2009, the Associated Press acknowledged Sean again for his special report on the student journalists who were the 1st on the scene of the NIU shootings.
