Page serves as a meteorologist and weather producer for WCVB NewsCenter 5’s award-winning StormTeam 5. He came to WCVB in June 2022. Before that, Michael served as a freelance contributing meteorologist for the Weather Channel where he reported on numerous winter storms affecting New England, as well as Hurricane Henri.
Prior to that, he foretold weather at NECN and WBTS-TV in Boston where he served as a meteorologist from 2015 to 2020. During his time there, Michael reported on everything from hurricanes to tornadoes to blizzards producing record-breaking coastal flooding in Boston, both live and in-studio, and earned an Emmy for his coverage of climate change and its influence on New England.
Michael started his occupation in meteorology at WVNY-TV and WFFF-TV in Burlington, Vermont. While there, he reported on a historic ice storm and the region’s recovery from Tropical Storm Irene. Michael was raised on the south shore of Boston in Hingham, Massachusetts, and knew he desired to be a meteorologist at a young age.
He commenced forecasting and observing the weather while attending middle school and operated his own weather website right through high school. He went forward to study meteorology at The Pennsylvania State University, delivering forecasts on the campus television station, WPSU-TV, throughout his time in college. Coming full circle, Michael acquired his internship at WCVB for two years while he was in college and is glad to be back as a part of StormTeam 5.
