As part of her work with the FOX 8 Defenders, her investigations uncovered the horrific living conditions at an apartment complex owned by a religious non-profit and assisted many neighbors deal with problems from sporadic trash pick-up to blighted pools. Her investigations into the religious non-profit that has the apartment complex in New Orleans, honored her with a Suncoast Regional Emmy nomination.
After graduating, Meg worked in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and after two years she made the move back to New Orleans. During her time at WVUE-TV, she has been honored with a regional Edward R. Murrow honor for an investigation into the New Orleans Police Department. Meg also earned many New Orleans Press Club honors for breaking news stories of the year, general news, best government/political reporting, and others. She has also been nominated for countless Suncoast Regional Emmy honors including one for an investigation into the Crimestoppers organization. Meg has also been celebrated for her work by the Louisiana Associated Press awards
Over the years, she has covered several high-profile stories including the Danziger Bridge trial, the BP oil spill, the murder of former Saints player Will Smith, the mass shooting at Virginia Tech, and countless tropical storms and hurricanes.
