While in college, she had a great opportunity to intern in Cincinnati, Ohio, at WCPO. In her senior year, she landed a 2nd internship at KSPR News in Springfield, Missouri, where she started her first job as a reporter. After a few short months of covering accidents, local events, and fires, they were in need of a weekend weather anchor, so she jumped in the driver’s seat and commenced her weather profession. From there, she continued in Central and Northeast PA as the morning and midday Meteorologist.
In 2001, Kristi shifted to Missouri on a volleyball scholarship to attend Evangel University. After graduating, she earned the title of ‘Miss Missouri USA 2006,’ and had a wonderful opportunity to represent Missouri at the ‘2006 Miss USA Pageant.’ Kristi was also privileged with “The Times Leader’s 40 Under Forty,” for successful individuals who have excelled in their careers and communities in Northeast & Central PA.
Kristi loves getting engaged in society whenever she gets the opportunity. She’s been part of ‘Go Red For Women,’ ‘The Children’s Miracle Network,’ and the ‘American Diabetes Association.’
Being a representative of the society in Northeast Ohio is such a privilege, and she is looking forward to experiencing all that Cleveland has to offer. When she’s not at work, Kristi enjoys spending her free time with family, studying the weather, soaking up the sun in the summer, reading, working out, running 5k’s, snow skiing, and watching football with her husband.
