He most recently starred as John Major, Prime Minister in the drama series ‘The Crown: Season 5 which was released by Netflix on 9 November 2022.

After appearing in many high schools plays at his selective state grammar school, Miller dropped out at 17 to pursue acting full-time. Although he was reportedly shy and quiet in high school, he certainly expresses himself well in all his films. His very first famous film was Hackers (1995), alongside Matthew Lillard and Angelina Jolie. Later Angelina his co-star became his wife. They were divorced three years later.
He has a partnership with the production firm Natural Nylon, which also includes Jude Law and Ewan McGregor, his co-star in Trainspotting (1996).
