Prior to joining KARE11, Jamie worked for 12NEWS KPNX in Phoenix, Arizona as a weekend meteorologist for 3 years. While there, he forecasted across all platforms and shows. Jamie also contributed to the AtoZ60 franchise, spotlighting the viewers, places, and things that make Arizona special.
He brought 20 years of forecasting experience to the 12 News weather team, having covered summer weather and severe winter, in multiple climates, and wall-to-wall coverage of tropical storms, tornadoes, and hurricanes.
Prior to working at 12News, Jamie worked as Chief Meteorologist for WEYI/WSMH NBC25/Fox66 in Flint, MI. He also served at WFTX FOX 4, in Cape Coral, Florida as a morning meteorologist. Earlier in his profession, he worked as Chief Meteorologist at KIFI, Local News 8, in Idaho Falls, the ABC affiliate, Idaho, and as Morning and Noon and then Chief Meteorologist at KEYC TV 12, the CBS/Fox duopoly in North Mankato, MN.
