In October 2005, Hena accepted a job on WFSB-TV’s Eyewitness News family as a general assignment reporter and became a weekend anchor in October of 2008, making her one of the 1st Pakistani anchors in the U.S. During her television job, Hena simultaneously instructed journalism as an Adjunct Professor at Capital Community College and the Connecticut School of Broadcasting.
Hena’s earned a few awards including an Associated Press award for Best Spot News, Best Sports Feature, and Best Breaking News. In 2009 and 2010, she was nominated Best Reporter by the readers of Hartford Magazine.
