While there, Cory anchored DC News Now weekdays from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. Before joining DC News Now, Cory served as a general assignment reporter for CBS’s flagship station, WCBS-TV, in New York City.
Before moving to NYC, Cory served as the weekend evening anchor for the ABC O&O in Fresno, California. During his time there, he earned an award for reporting on a story that helped law enforcement track down suspects charged with beating and kidnapping a teenage girl. Cory started his career in Santa Barbara, California, as a reporter for KEYT-TV/KCOY-TV/KKFX-TV. His first story was the Isla Vista mass shooting that butchered six individuals and injured over a dozen others around the University of California, Santa Barbara campus.
