Jackson works for FOX 13 News in Seattle, Washington, as an Evening News Anchor. He anchors FOX 13 News at 4 & 9 PM along with Hana Kim. Brian was raised on the outskirts of Chicago, Illinois. Around 6th grade, he met a local sportscaster and that’s what guided him to pursue a career in journalism.

That journey carried on in high school where he commenced writing for his high school newspaper and reading the announcements at church. Upon graduating from Howard University in Washington, D.C. Brian spent about 10 years working mainly behind the scenes at Comcast Sports Net. Those experiences led him to Jacksonville, Florida where he served as a weekend sports anchor at WJXT-TV.

Up to that point, Brian’s primary emphasis was sports. It’s very important to have mentors in any profession. He was lucky enough to receive guidance that led to him transitioning from sports to a morning show anchor at WTXL-TV in Tallahassee, Florida. Being on the news side permits him to inform a wider variety of stories that affect the communities he covers. But he is also thrilled that FOX 13 will let him pinch-hit in the sports department from time to time.

Brian is thrilled to live on this side of the country for the first time and to call Seattle and the beautiful PNW home. Outside of work, he enjoys being physically active. He also loves giving back to the society. During his time in Florida, Brian acted as a mentor for Big Brothers and Big Sisters and volunteered at a local middle school.
