Prior to WITF 89.5 & 93.3, Asia worked as a 5:30 PM Anchor and Reporter at KTAL in Shreveport, LA. Before that, she served as a multi-media journalist for CBS 21 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Previously, Tabb was a freelance reporter for WGAL in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Her interest in broadcast news was born out of her real desire to serve others.
After college, Asia earned her break in television news at KTVO in Ottumwa, IA. She credits her former Assistant News Director, Andy Grove, for having the patience to assist her in honing her writing skills as a budding journalist. Andy’s sudden death in 2020 propelled Asia to dig even deeper to accomplish Andy’s dream for her and others like her. While the 2020 Iowa caucuses were gearing up, Asia followed many candidates via their campaign trail from Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, Senator Cory Booker, and now the 46th President of the United States Joe Biden.
While at college, she hosted a campus radio podcast at WODU Studios called “A&B Conversation”, concentrating on pop culture, hip hop, and R&B. Asia made a title for herself when she joined legendary radio host/producer, Doc Christian. She operated closely with Doc Christian for her part on “The Gospel Express” on WHOV 88.1 FM and was producer and host for “Unrestricted Praise” at Praise FM. Listeners could tune in around the Hampton Roads area and on the Internet Worldwide via iHeartRadio, she concentrated on positivity in youth and music.
