Later on, she abandoned La Crosse to become the weekend anchor at KSAX in Alexandria, Minnesota. DuPont went back to WXOW in 2002 and in 2004 was promoted to Daybreak anchor.
Because of love, Amy left the Coulee Region and accompanied her man to San Diego, California, where he had been working with the United States Marine Corps. She was lucky to receive an invitation with CW6 as a reporter for employment. Her family was later posted back in Wisconsin by the Marine Corps where Amy was made a reporter/anchor at Milwaukee’s Fox6.
